Your question is based on a distortion of the Trinity.

Chrisitains view God as one in essence (being) in 3 persons, co-equal, eternal, and not created.

Each person of the Trinity has a role in redemptive history.

Therefore, using Christ as an intescessor to the Father is appropriate if the Trinity is a correct doctrine.

In other words, if the Trinity is correct, your question would be invalid.

Addendum: To DwayneWayne... Jesus never stated that he was inferior to the Father... If you are going to invoke the logic of "The Trinity is false because that exact language was not used in the Bible", please be so kind as to follow it yourself. In fact Jesus did several times equate himself with God, such as when he forgave sins (which is why the reaction was "Blasphemy!", noted that he and the Father are one, whoever has seen the him has seen the Father" , refering to himself as I AM, etc... It was the fact of him equating himself TO the Father that resulted in the backlash against him, as to do so under Mosaic law was punishable by death... FYI

When we worship the Lord (who is Jesus and God, for they are one in the same) we are to worship Him in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24)

"If the trinity is correct"
Interestingly enough, neither the word 'trinity' nor the concept of three entities in one is ever expressed in the Bible. The concept can be traced to ancient Egyptian and Babylonian religions, but Jesus Christ himself stated on more than one occasion that he was inferior to his Father. Jesus never asked to be worshipped, he always appropriately directed the attention to his Father.
