my son is aged 8 and was diagnoised type 1 diabetic in may 2006.he is what the hospital call a healthy diabetic.his blood sugars are usualy between 4-10 but on occasions they can rise up to 20.he has not been hospitalised only on diagnoisis when he had sugar levels of 26 and keytones.i have never had to use the hypostop and when he has been ill with viruses his stepdad and myself have managed his insulin adjustments with confidence.he is a good eater athough fussy and is active. my main concern is his inability to sit and concentrate for periods of time. prediagnois he never sat still at all so there has been some improvement but im sure he could achieve more.he works well with positive reinforcment . he gets lots of love and support from the family, school and medical team.we are open to suggestions i.e diet, education, recreation even religion! INFACT anything.thanks

Hi

Have you had your son checked out for dyspraxia or dyslexia?? These conditions can give symptons similar to your sons. My stepson is diabetic, a good and fussy eater and is bright and intelligent. However, he lacks concentration, gives up on work very easily and frustrates the pants off us!!! What we try to do is give him small targets to aim for, ten-fifteen minutes of work then a break but all the time there is a goal at the end of it, not always a treat though!! We have learnt not to take things for granted and accept that he will always be this way. It helps, honestly!!!

One thing though, have you claimed for Disability Living Allowance. Your son should be entitled to this and at a higher rate due to the extra care he needs. The diabetic nurse should be able to help you complete it or your local welfare rights dept. Remember too, your son will always be entitled to free prescriptions, one of the 'good' points of being diabetic.

Have you also been told the saying of you control diabetes, dont let diabetes control you??

Good luck and stay strong

Dean

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

It sounds to me as though you may be worrying too much, quite understandable as you obviously think the world of him. As you say yourself his Diabetes is under control so not much wrong with his diet. He is only eight years old, and most eight year olds get bored quickly, especially with school work. My Grandson was a constant worry to his mum at that age, never still always off on some idea or other. He is now twenty three, a BSc Hons in Economics and teaching advanced Maths . He is also coaching a basketball team and plays guitar in a jazz band. Never still for ten minutes. Don't worry too much I am sure he will knuckle down and get on with it as he grows up. Quite often it's just a sign of a very active mind. Good Luck

i am forty and am still suffering from my childhood problem of not concentrating. one idea might be to ask him to concentrate for short periods initially , eg ten minutes and then give a break. gradually increase the time.
