If you are referring to Marvin Gaye Sr. and Marvin Gaye Jr. the singer, they both had problems with drugs and alcohol.
Supposedly, Marvin Gaye Jr. had been on an coke and alcohol binge. And Marvin Sr. had a serious drinking problem. They both got into an argument, and well, coke + alcohol+ guns don't necessarily add up to a positive ending now does it? And pastors are human too-they are not God. How many priests molest children? How many ministers have affairs with female members of their congregation? Religious people of all faiths do things that are morally and spiritually wrong.
My dad used to make jokes about what happened and called it the 'Marvin Gaye theory'- "I brought you into this world and I'll take you out of it too!" Bill Cosby even used this line once on the Cosby Show back in the '80's. I still cringe when I think of that statement.

If you are referring to Marvin Gaye, his father was an alcoholic and he was jealous of Marvin Gaye~ he died on April 1st. The father went to prison but I believe he got out in 5 yrs. Personally I think he deserved life! He was abusive to the mother also from what I have read. It is pure jealousy is what I can tell you~

r u talking about marvin gaye. some pastors r not really pure they r just in it to make money or maybe he was drunk

he shot his son? well i would call the police and they would put him in anger manegment, like some people have problems controlling anger and temper and they take it out on anyone they can find
