I would say it entirely depend on her maturity. I personally have always preferred older guys than my age mates. When i was eighteen, my boyfriend was 26.. Sure it was a big gap but i felt i has more in common with him and he was mature (which i loved). Most older guys like younger girls because of their innocence or (native).. My boyfriend and i where serious but we didn't do anything intimate but that was eight years ago, now most guys want to get to the intimate part quickly..
So i'd say it depends on her maturity and how he treats her.

In my opinion, age is just a number. Like its said, "age is a question of mind over matter, if you dont mind, it dosent matter". To tell the truth, I am currently 18 years old, but way mature beyond my years (current test have me at 30 yrs lol). Anyway, to the point...Im 18 and engaged to a 43 year old. Hes old enough to be my father, I know. The thing is, guys my age are way to immature, have no life experience, and cant teach me anything, nor be a good role model. I find older guys are more appealing. But the question really lays on the personality both the younger and older person in the situation. I wouldnt be with a 43 year old if it wasnt for his love of life and the fact that hes a big kid at heart. It all depends on the person. Hope this helps.

The fact that a person is a certain age is not really the focus. You have to proceed with caution. Think of the men in your life. If they don't have a wife by 28 It makes me very suspicious. What were there lives. Wife, children, job, friends, family. If a man has none of these there is a reason. It is very likely this man wants to have sex with an innocent child. Child like meaning you have not been intimate with many men you lack the confidence in your ability to achieve your true goal of career or family. Your open to ideas like sex is not going to result in pregnancy. Less cautious because you don't personally know a lot of friends that have STD or pregnancy or still believe these can not happen to you. Are you still invincible. The world can't hurt you. This will be your bite of the forbidden apple that will cast you into hell. Not an imaginary hell. Hell exists right here on earth and if you stray far from the warnings you will find out first hand.

25 is probably the best age gap when you are 17/18 because any older and its like they are from a different generation. Not that I would go out with an 18 year old.
I used to go out with guys a lot older than me (the biggest age gap was 15 years) and a lot of the time they would talk down to me etc just because of my age. Sometimes we didnt have that much in common because of it. But if its true love then age doesnt really come into it

Speaking as a Dad I'd say "when she can't whip him ,then it's inappropriate. Realistically, OJ hooked up with Nichole when she was either 18 or 19 and he was deep into his 20s. Kathy Mcphee (American Idol) is around 20 and her boyfriend is around 40. Kind of disgusting when you think about the sex thing. A girl at 17 is still a legal minor, so if you are 21 or older, you're "inappropriate". If her parents give her and you grieve because of the age difference, then it's inappropriate. Bottom line, if you have to ask, then it's inappropriate.

If the girl is 17/18 years old she shouldn't be thinking about getting into a sexual relationship. She should be thinking about what she is going to do with her life not by letting a man that she got involved with screw it up! Girls that age don't look at their future, they only think about having a good time with a guy and that's the only thing on their mind, but they end up getting into something they will regret sometime down the road. It is against the law for a girl that age to go out with a guy of that age.

10 years is about the max difference I ever desired to date...however one must consider maturity too...an 18 yr old is barely an adult and hasn't had (typically) the life experiences that a 28 yr old has had...in that particular case, the gap seems rather large...
When I was 18, nobody older than early 20s would likely have caught my eye...I was a 'kid' and although (like many) I thought I knew a lot and was an adult because the law said I was, I still had far to go in maturity and experience before I was ready to REALLY be considered an adult. Most young people I've ever known, weren't any different...it's the rare 18 yr old that seems to have the maturity and stability of someone a decade or more their senior.

A girl who is 17-18 should date someoe who is 17-20 and no more. Going beyond that and thinmgs get sticky. This is about your maturity and judgement and not always about the numbers.
A 21-25 yr old male has different priorities than someone younger, like 17-18.

I think provided that they are both consenting adults age has and should have nothing to do with it!! I wish them all the best and to have much pleasure in their love for each othere because this is precious and wonderful in this world we live in. (Plus life is too short to start complaining about silly things like age differences. When you find love you go for it, it is a rare and beautiful thing and should not be harnessed by social rules such as this!)
