I recorded some things with my friends for a school project but now i can't edit them because they came out as an MOD. I only have Windows Movie maker to edit it and it won't work.

So, can someone help me so that i can edit it with Windows Movie Maker?

Please and thank you very much ^_^

Editing pretty much has to be done in AVI format unless you have software that supports other formats. So you need to see if you can find conversion software to change that to AVI.

I don't know much about MOD files but I got some info from wikipedia:

"MOD is also the file extension for the video file format used on many camcorders, such as the JVC Everio, and the Panasonic D-Snap SD-card camcorders.

It appears that you can just rename the MOD file extension to MPG as it appears to be a standard MPEG-2 file. Then the file is compatible with players and other software tools that can read Dolby AC-3 Surround Stereo encoding."

I like the previous answer, if that doesnt work try downloading a video converter off the internet. I'm actually looking for one to convert QuickTime movies into WMP movies.
