or lack there of. Would you be willing to captain the team? Is there a team you would like to go up against?

Suzanne and Father K. I'd pick Suzanne to captain because she's non-denominational.

No preference in a team to oppose. Any team would be hard pressed to oppose those to, if the criteria is knowledge.

You might want to be more specific on the "teams" Atheists vs. Theists of any type, Atheists vs Christians, Christians vs Islam, Buddhism vs. Hinduism, Catholics vs. Protestants... and many other permeations (not leaving out any group purposefully, the above were for point illustration only).

A debate is structured typically around a question or proposition

Just a comment in response to Lokasenna, yes there are many Pagans out there. I see many of them in church on Sundays, and occasionally even hear them from the pulpits :)

I only offered hence Spoke Zarathustra via Nietzsche and previous perception via Elaine Pagels. Zarathustra i might examine in the past, yet loaned my reproduction years in the past and hadn't seen it for the reason that. i in my opinion examine this form of crap for relaxing. No heavily - for relaxing. Nor do i think of that makes me deep or despite the fact that. this is only that no longer something keeps one distracted on the lavatory like Nietzsche. Books are the only purchase I just about in no way experience sorry approximately. I take returned 0.5 the garments i purchase, yet I certainly have extra books than bookshelves, that's why they are stacked throughout my abode. a good number of massive paintings books too using fact i'm a picture dressmaker.

actually i dont think its a bad idea
and would probably be interesting of course
rules are no bashing just facts
ive seen lots of wierd comments about catholics
mormons judaism
jehovahs witnesses and muslims
and actually most comments are very low crude and just plain not true
and it shouldnt be just a debate team defending religion
it should be more of a way to open minds and hearts to god and spiritual growth too

and ill start it if u dont mind
ill be back on in six hours
if anyone cares
ok my question is on mormons and what they believe and they released a statement with facts aout what they believe in
but to know what they beleive in u need to read the scriptures in the book of mormon
so a newspaper asked joseph smith to simply tell what he beleived in which is in the article as we know today

I want Bettierage on my team.

And the mayor, Acid Zebra and Squishy.

And Bad Liberal and NH Baritone, and Lokasenna, and Epona Willow and Godzilla and weemaryann and Raven's voice and Kallan and.....

Sounds more like an awesome party than a debate.

Not to sound cocky or anything but I'd have to pick myself because I am the only Ásatrúar who's a regular on R&S. I do know some others who are Ásatrú , Morgorond, Darkvitki & RheinWood Assembly.

There's a lot of great Pagans out there...too many to name. :-)

Although I'm an atheist I'd like to play devil's advocate and try and defend theism. I've debated with theists long enough to become aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the arguments they use.

Well, there is nobody here that really reflects everything that I consider true.

I wouldn't mind having Captain Atheism and JP on my team though.
