I got an email from my ex boyfriend over the weekend. We have always been good friends. Anyways, the contents of the email basically said he wanted to start new and he thought we could work. We had a couple of issues but those are resolved now and those are the only reason we broke up in the first place. Most of it was we were both unhappy with ourselves and needed to work through it on our own. This just came out of nowhere. I still have feelings for him but I have never came out and said it and he has never hinted that he had them either. We have just been speaking as friends for the past year. What can make a person realize they want another chance?

People change and if you and he feel that your love is worth fighting for again I say learn from the past mistakes and go on from there .
As he stated he wants to start a new so something within him feels empty without you . I can never explain why people are not upfront with how they feel .
