My fiance and I would really like to go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Also, we want to stay on property, because of front of the line. However, we will only be 20; therefore, we cannot rent a room on property. My question is: Are there any loopholes to get around this? I have family willing to sign whatever and to use their credit card, etc. I don't want to have to fly someone to Florida just to check us in. Any suggestions???

there is no need to be rude! We love to just have fun. Universal Studios would be a great place for us to go.

I believe you only have to have someone call and make the reservation, they don't actually have to be there. Try telling the hotel that it is for your honeymoon, not only may it make a difference, but they usually throw something complimentary in for you as well. If that doesn't work, have a parent call them and tell them it is for your honeymoon. I don't think it will be a problem.

I had the same problem in the Bahamas. I called 20 resorts before I found one willing to let us stay there. The majority of resorts have a check-in policy stating you must be 21.

Call around and ask.

I would call them and talk to the hotel and see what the deal is... They might just want a second credit card... I doubt they would have to check you in. It's more about the fact they want their money and they don't want someone to trash the place with a party. I am sure if you talk to someone they can figure something out for you.

Everytime I've had to check into a hotel I've had to show my ID & th credit card the reservation was made with. I'd call & explain the situation. Since it's your honeymoon they may be able to work with you or have suggestions for you.

a friend had put our room in vegas on his credit card & ended up not being able to go. he changed the reservation to my name & gave me the card to take with me just in case. I don't recall them even looking at anything other than my ID when I checked in. Now when my hubby & I went to Disneyland & stayed at the Marriott there, I had to show ID & the credit card we were using to pay. (We'd made the reservation online). I think it just depends on where you're staying. You're best bet would be to call and find out their checkin policies & if they say you have to show both, see if you have your parent call & the fact that it's for your anniversary will help at all. Good luck & congrats!

Forget Florida go for an all inclusive resort. They are normally 10x cheaper! Plus, if you are only 20 you want to try and save as much money as possible. Not to mention you can drink in Mexico!
