I have a very girl first name(Krissie) and many people in my school call me by miss krissie or madam krissie or other annoying things. I like to go by the name chris but no one says that. I really cant stand it anymore because i am not 1 bit girly. What do i do?

If this was me, I would NOT answer anyone who calls me Krissie, if I prefer Chris. If after saying Krissie several time and they say "hey, I'm talking to you!", you can respond by saying "My name is Chris, and I didn't hear you call my name!"
When you meet new people, get into a habit of introducing yourself as Chris!
I have a friend who is a big southern guy in his 50's. His legal name is Billy! But he prefers Bill and he has used a lot of these tips and they do work. You just need to be persistent and try not to show that you are annoyed!

Don't answer anyone when they call you 'Krissie.' Instead say, and keep saying until they get it, "My name is Chris (Kris)" or "I prefer Chris." Eventually they will stop.
I see you are in school. If you can get the teachers on board, the kids will start to call you Chris too.

Wow! That's bad. How 'bout just not answering them, and write Chris down on all your paperwork, and if you call, say "Hey, this is Chris, can I speak to Jim?" or something like that. The more you make a fuss out of it, the more they will tease you. Kids are freaking ruthless!

When someone calls you by a name you don't like, you could ignore them for a few minutes and then when they call you again, you could say "Oh, you mean me, my name is Chris, I didn't know you wanted me." Make sure you stress of your friends and family that you want to be called Chris. It will take time to train everyone but you can do it. Good luck and God Bless.

If girls are calling you Chrisy... then they like you. Guy's calling your Chrisy then they are jealous that your getting all the attention from the girls in your class.
Girls in grade school will often pick the cutest guy in class and give him a nick-name. (don't let it go to your head). But say Timothy ... may get tommy, Bill to Billy, Robert to Bobby... if you don't have a name that they can make a nickname out of they'll make up another cute name for you... like Buster or Butch, Skeeder... so goes the life of a kid in grade school.

Be careful, if they find out your dislike then you will hear nothing else. Just start using an alternate name and they might pick up on it.

Your name must be Kristopher (German spelling ) right? I think it is a lovely name. I like the German spelling of the name "Chris"...spelling it "Kristopher"....then just go by "Kris"
like the celebrity Kris Kristopherson~ I am sure you have heard of him right?

in addition to that it does not hurt to say to the people doing this that you don't like it & to please stop. Say it polite and calm. If they keep it up, don't be friendly or friends to them. Ignore them.
