It really depends on how overcrowded your teeth are. I got 2 teeth extracted from the top and bottom. The bottom was really over crowded so it took less than a year to fill in. The top wasn't so crowded, so it took 1 1/2 years.

Good luck!

I was 14 when I got the braces.
The doc extracted 4 of my teeth (2 each from the upper and the lower jaw).
Mine took an year and a half to fill the gap neatly.
Good Luck :-)

I was 13 when I had my last 4 baby teeth pulled and 2 adult teeth to clear space for braces. My teeth were a crowded mess as a kid so I needed the room. I was sucha gap tooth after that. i don't remember exactly how long, but I don't think it was more than a year. It's worth it though because soon you will have nice smile.

i had three tooth extracted a day before i had my braces put on. i've only had my braces for a month but it should close up after a couple of months or even a year.

Try the blog listed below. It did not have the exact same thing done but it does help when I reach my mile stones with my braces.

Good Luck!!
