ok, first of all, just because some one wants to disappear it doesn't mean that they've killed someone or that they're on the run.

And December, If you move to another country your social security number won't mean anything, along with your credit history. Try to become a legal resident there and go through their own courts to change your name, however they will want proof of identity.

If you're running from the law move to the Caribbean. You can establish a totally new Identity without questions asked. When renting, or getting a job they don't check for the verification of I.D. It's practicaly impossible to track down anyone there.

If you go to the Caribbean, you can just go and get an I.D. from anywhere and if they ask for a birth certificate you can say you lost it or buy a fake one or one from a morgue. Everyone is looking to make a dollar and they are not above bribery. Anything can be baught easily in the caribbean.

The caribbean is cheap and americanized, I would live there and establish references and get an I.D. And a job. To get a job, no I.D. is required. If anyone is searching you they won't find you there because the local enforcement is laughable and it's easy to stay under the radar. There isn't a government checking on your every move. there aren't any social security numbers or anything else like that. Most people down there don't even have any form of I.D. or proof of their identity. I've lived and worked there so I know from first hand.

After you've established yourself, you can move to any country after that. You would just provide papers that you've lived in the country and have a friend that you've met there verify that. I've seen it happen a lot and it's not questioned because a lot of non-blacks live in the caribbean, especially Jamaica and other countries know that Jamaica is lax in their formal papers.

If you have more questions or anything feel free to contact me.

It sounds like you are trying to avoid someone in particular.

There are better ways of dealing with problems like that than going through the steps you are describing (which would cost a lot of money - and still be no gaurantee if someone was really intent on finding you. You shouldn't give someone else the satisfaction of knowing they are controlling you like that.

My guess is an abusive ex-husband or boyfriend, most likely the childs father. I'm not sure if you already have a restraining order against him, but if you haven't taken this step, then you should. If you aren't doing it because you know it will anger him more - then I would suggest setting him up: Get the restraining order, and get a few large (preferably male and armed) friends to give you a hand, and when he tries to come after you, have them take pictures of him so there is proof that he is violating the restraining order, and he will be arrested. If he tries anything violent, then you will have some protection against him. It's amazing how effective knocking someones teeth out is when trying to convince them to stay away from you.

Good Luck.

I believe it would be fraudulent to change your social security number.

I also think that name-change statutes might have a provision requiring the name to be publicized, to make sure you are not trying to escape from creditors.

Maybe just emigrating would be a better idea. Check the requirements of the nation you are seeking to enter.

I'm not sure what made you ask, but I hope you explore all your options before acting rashly and making a situation worse.

Good luck.

Instead of running from your problems, try dealing with them. Report any harrasment against you through the proper channels. Document everything and if needed set up video security at home. I make these suggestions because I was stalked by a person when I was 19 until I "disappeared" at 22. He found me anyway and then I had an even harder time proving my allegations against him weren't made up. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches in the end.

all this stuff would require you to go to court. it's a legal process so it may get out. as for the other countrys, try finding a place you could stay like a hotel and work from there.
