Can we solve the border security problem by invading Mexico / Canada and making then the 51st and 52nd States?

first home of the FREE land of the brave. In all honesty I could see Mexico being annexed.... Hell in 10 years they will all be up here anyway!!! If you ask a person who just crossed the border where there family is they would say on the way my friend all 20 of them!!!! (multiply that by a million!!!) There would be no problem if they came learned some english maybe a little history but I heard some folks cocky enough to say the U.S. will be speaking spanish as the first language in no time! Which is true if you have looked at the growth of immigrants over the past few years!

And Canada why waste our time on that frozen waste land! Little brothers and sisters are always going to be jealous that big brothers can do more than them! Screw our neighbors its not are fault there countries are in bad shape! We are spread too thin as it is being (team america world police!)We have a Sh***y leader who constantly makes bad desicions for everybody else except the rich and its time that
we as Americans take resposibility for what problems we face and make our voices heard!!

You realize, of course, that the US border security problem is a US problem....If you could secure your borders and stop allowing illegals and terrorist across your own borders...you wouldn't have the problems that concern you.

But hey...if invading and taking over two countries solves your problem...sure...go ahead. That would be ultra American, wouldn't it. Solve your problems by creating them for other countries.

And if your suggestion was that the security issues are because so many Canadians want to come into your country illegally...you might want a reality check. Canadians are damned happy where they are...and don't have the delusions of grandeur that their southern neighbours entertain.

And then what? Annex all of South America and then we'll hop across the ocean and take Europe and spread like a disease into Asia and Africa just for the heck of it. This isn't a game of Risk.

PS Do you really think we have the military strength to deal with a bilateral war on both our borders when we can't even stop the Iraqi's?

No, because those most disgruntled by the invasion (citizens of Canada and Mexico) would actually become a larger security problem for the US then the one that existed prior.

What we need to do with Mexico is start charging them for all the tax money that illegals are costing the US. Now I know they won't pay but we can deduct that amount from the aide we give them every year. I bet it wouldn't take too long before they started whistling a different tune.

It would probably solved the problem. However, the new citizens of these states will rebel because their background had them knowing that you had invaded their country.
No matter what, it would not be safe. What they can do is try to compromise.

Do you really want to incorporate those two pieces of botched real estate into the US.

Mexico's corruption would get in the way of our corruption and unbalance the whole process.

Canada's Socialism would really screw up our medical system.

Please, we are broke bad enough, we don't need the pieces scattered to all points on the compass.
