A cat tends to bring you "presents" as a way of showing your dominance over them. They also do this to show you respect and love. Most of the times, its dead animals - what they would consider a "treat" but a flower is really sweet. I wonder if you're a flower lover and the cat has sensed that about you.

In any case, it is obvious that you are the "cats meow" and she wants you to know it.

Hi Teeny !

We may never know why our pets do this but they often bring items home as a way of letting us know that they are capable of "hunting" and therefore providing for themselves. Flowers are unusual in that most cats are meat eaters. Perhaps the flowers have been taunting the cat... causing it to show its dominance over the garden... showing the other flowers just who's boss around the house! Or perhaps this is merely her hint that you should be growing more catnip? Enjoy the flowers and her behavior... there are so many worse things she can bring home. Mine have done the usual bird/mouse thing but progressed to frogs and snakes which really icked me out. Now they stay indoors and we catch catnaps instead.

Well, the flower is a very interesting "gift"... usually it's some sort of prey.

Mother cats will often bring their kittens some prey. At first it will be dead, just to feed them. Then she'll "graduate" them to injured prey so they can practice the hunt. Sometimes cats will keep this instinct going and bring prey to their humans.

Other times it could just be something that she likes and wants to find a safe place for it. My cat has pet "mice" (stuffed) that she keeps in her food bowl for safekeeping. If we move them, she'll find them and put them back. This is how cats keep track of their stuff. Maybe she considers the flower her "stuff" and the kitchen floor is where she keeps it. :)

At least it's not bleeding! haha... Good luck and thank your kitty for the nice gift.

Some cats like to bring presents for their people. You're just lucky it's not furry and dead. Congratulate her and thank her for the present, and tell her she's a good girl. That's all the reward she'll want for being nice :)

My sister's cat used to bring presents too, including bagels and bags of flour from the kitchen.

She thinks that she is bringing you something special. A lot of cats bring their owners special treats. I allowed one of my cats to roam and to come home whenever he wanted to, and I was "gifted" with mice, squirrels, live birds, dead, mutilated rabbits, and moles. I always praised him, and never allowed him to see me trash the poor victim, so he continued. I've never heard of one bringing flowers home, but it must have a scent that attracts her, so she thinks that it will be attractive to you too!

we'd by making use of no skill understand why our pets try this yet they now and back placed across products domicile as a manner of letting us understand that they are waiting to "looking" and subsequently offering for themselves. flowers are unusual in that optimum cats are meat eaters. in accordance to threat the flowers have been taunting the cat... inflicting it to teach its dominance over the outdoor... showing distinctive flowers in straight forward terms who's boss around the domicile! or in accordance to threat it rather is fullyyt her hint which you will desire to be starting to be extra beneficial catnip? take excitement interior the flowers and her habit... there are various worse themes she would be able to place across domicile. Mine have complete the often taking place rooster/mouse venture yet stepped forward to frogs and snakes which rather icked me out. Now they stay indoors and we grab catnaps as a replace.

Cats are attracted to certain plant scents and they do eat plant material from time to time, such as grass. We call this "kitty salad" and it helps their digestion.

It's a sweet gesture that Teeny has chosen to bring it to you each day... Much nicer than a dead mouse, lizard or bird.

Awww! That's strange...I've never heard of that before!

One of my cats is very clever and whenever he loses his collar outside he always brings it back home in his mouth!

Another cat I had hated wearing collars. Everyday he'd come home without it. It cost a fortune in new collars...then we caught him in the act, hooking his collar off on a branch of a small tree....and couldn't believe there were four other collars there too!
