You can duplicate your VCD to a blank CD using Nero or any other burning software. You can use the same CD normally used for burning audio or music CD.

Your question is a little vague, we need to know what the origonal format is first, ike is it VHS or DVD? If it's vhs you should maybe consider downloading utorrent or a similar free file torrent service and searching for some excercise videos through utorrent, these will already be in a format for CD (usually...)
If your video is on DVD however, you can shrink it to cd size with divx converter. And write it to ANY type of CD you have. The shrinking process reduces the video quality some, but its not too bad unless you have a big screen tv.
Divx packages can be found on utorrent for free, and so can a lot of other similar programs. Nero suite is a good one for writing the files to disk once divx has shrunk them...
It isnt really too complicated, you use divx to shrink your 4.4gig dvd down to 700mb, then burn it to a cd with a program that will make the files work in a dvd player, like nero. If your origonal dvd's have copy protection download daemon tools from utorrent as well, this program removes copy protection from dvd's.
This should give you a good idea about the process, if you have ay questions IM me or email me.

I think you might want to look at DVD`s, they hold much more, and they can hold the images, unless the exercises videos will be sing alongs, but I think Richard Simmons has that all taken care of.
