True black hair is just so strikingly beautiful, I don't think it should be touched with highlights. If it's actually just very dark brown, you can go with golden highlights.

Hi I was a hair stylist for tow years. I think that any color that you like would be good for black hair. If you like the bark hair then you should put in a color like Red or a lighter Brown. If you like the lighter color then put in blond. And it doesn’t matter what color you put in if you go to the wrong hair stylist. And you mite want to put in more that one color of blond, red, and brown. I think you should get a weave or a (slice). They put the color in your hair but in sections of it the sides and the top and that is it. And you mite think of doing a new hair style and play with your hair and see what it can do. I hope that I was a help to you.

I would definitely go with a Red or Auburn hue, that looks really great against the black and would really brighten up your face and give you a whole new look! I used to have all of my hair dyed an dark red/burgundy color and it was so fun! Good Luck

I would get a mahogany dark red/brown color highlights. Something that isn't going to jump out and scream highlights.

I would do low lights which are light brown and carmel colors to see if you even like the look. If you do then next time you can go a bit lighter if you like, but it always looks more natural with low lights. Plus when they grow out they are not as noticeable, they are not as damaging as bleaching, and they do not require as much maintenance.

I think caramel colored highlights looks best on dark hair. I had them once & it looked really good.
