clothes and then it burned me. I got mad and left. Now he will not talk to me even though I have apologized to him for becoming angry. He no longer wants to date me. Why? Why did he make such a big deal of this when he is the one who spilled the drink on me? What do you think?

He's probably super embarassed and doesn't know how to deal with it. Try talking to him more, saying that you're sorry you got so upset.

ummm not for anything, but perhaps he saw something in you that he figured he didnt want to deal with. I think its a little ridiculous that you got so upset about him spilling coffee on you. Accidents happen, its not like he threw the coffee hoping to burn you. It's a little extreme that you would get so furious over a little thing like that and even storm out, so perhaps he's floored that you would act so childishly. Sorry, I dont mean to be nasty about it, but you have to see it from a different angle.
Dont apologize for becoming angry. Apologize for your temper and the next time you will try to control it better.

Well, you may have overreacted but that still does not give him the right to treat you that way. I mean it was an accident, at least I hope it was, so you probably shouldn't have gotten angry and certainly should not have left. Maybe he didn't like the way you handled it and it scared him off.

because if you flip out over spilt coffee, what would he think would happen when a real problem came up? i know it hurts first hand, but you cant snap at people for accidents
