Honey, that doesn't mean anything.
He loves you. Why isn't that enough? Why does he NEED to tell you that he loves you every day to make you feel special? You should KNOW that he loves you and let that be enough.
Don't leave him over something as trite as that, and don't over analyze what he says!

It is time to move on. Why would you allow yourself to be humiliated like this. He is a child for not coming right out and ending the relationship. You should be mad but at yourself for not feeling good enough about yourself and dumping him on the spot. This is probably what he wants anyway. I love you as a person is just a line of BS that a pig boy says when he is either bedding someone he thinks he loves and yet does not want to feel like a pig by saying the truth to you... DUMP THE LOSER NOW.

I think the best thing to do would be to remain friends with him & move on with your life. If you do not feel comfortable continuing with him as a friend then just move on & forget about him. You'll find someone else.
What he said to you sounds like a similar phrase "I love you, but i'm not in love with you".. which people often use to express that they are no longer interested in a romantic relationship with that person.
Good luck!

5 months is a little quick for love drama, you should still be having fun, and hanging out, and not worrying about that kind of stuff. If you like him a lot then who cares what he says, maybe down the road he will love you, but for now just get to know each other and HAVE FUN!!

I know how he feels! You have to ask yourself if you really love him! He may just need time away! He might end up seeing what he is missing! Don't be with someone that doesn't love you the way that you love them! It doesn't mean that you have to stop loving him, just that you can start loving him in a diff. way and move on to someone who loves you the way you love them!

Yes, dump him...he told you he loved you as a person so you should get the hint of what he meant: that he doesn't love you at all, he said that just to be polite.

Uhm why would you want to be with someone that ISNT in love with you?? Which means he loves you like you would love a friend, why would you waste your time with that? I know that it would hurt really bad to let go of him but just imagine staying with him and him ending up finding someone else and then telling you he's inlove with them? That would be worse. Just let go

if he doesnt love you, then you should look for another guy so you can find love. by saying that he loves you as a person, i think he's hinting that he just wants to be friends anyway. but if you want to find out what he really meant before you call things off, just ask him by what he meant by what he said, then make your decision. good luck :)

lol no you shouldn't leave him. Just because you're in love with him doesn't mean it has to be the other way around. If he's serious about you, then it simply must grow with Time for him to fall in love with you.

Don't be mad. At least he was honest.
But, if you're looking to be "in love," then it's time to move on and find someone new.
It might be difficult, but it's better for both of you in the long run.
