All of the above, plus, offer to meet them half way on the cost. They already got you a computer. What did you do to earn that? Do the same for the simulator.

Cranking out some good grades on up-coming report cards usually goes a long way with parents concerned about the best interest of their children. Maybe a deal can be struck there.

Nothing worth having is free.

Microsoft Train Simulator is now available for £4.99 from all good software retailers - Its old and a bit rough around the edges but for the price its a bargin :)

Mircosoft train is only £4.99. but its the add-ons that are expensive. My Mrs got me GNER eastcoast it was nearly £20.

Take up model railroading as a hobby. Start out small, and go from there.

Tell them you want to become a train driver, and this will help.

Also mention that train drivers (UK) earn upwards of 30K.

Tell them all your friends have one and if you don,t get one they obviously don,t love you, you always knew you were adopted and you'll kick and scream and cry and bite and not eat til you get one......... Should do the trick! Good luck x x x
