babies do not choose to come into this world but we as parents decide to bring them here. it is our job and natural instinct to protect them and make them happy in everything that they do

As a mother, somthing happens to you when you carry your child for 9 months. It is natural instinct, but it crosses over to other peoples children too. I subconsiously watch other children when they are doing something questionable to make sure they don't get hurt. You can tell the difference between people that have children and ones that don't. The ones that don't don't think to put valuables up so they won't get broken. They don't think to make sure there is nothing small on the floor so the child can't choke on it. Their thoughts are that the parent needs to control their child (impossible!). Which leads me back to...we have to be protective of our children so they won't get hurt. My daughter choked on a piece of steak a few weeks ago, and once she was ok, I cried. It hurts me when she hurts. Hope this helps!

It's the same instinct as the fight or flight thing when you are in danger. Only when you have children you will usually fight for your child's safety and well being. Sure we get labeled overprotective but that's what we are here for. I think it probably has something to do with the 9 month pregnancy. If you hurt or put my child in danger look out! As parents we want the best for our kids and will usually fight for what we think is best. If we don't we aren't very good parents.

Are you serious?

1- You are definitely not a parent
2- You didn't live with your real parents throughout your childhood.

A mother's job is to protect their child, guide their child and teach their child. You hold this tiny little life in your hands, and it's your fault if they mess up. Yes your child is going to mess up, and make mistakes, have hard times, but it is your job to make those times the best for them, and teach them lessons. Until you have a child you will never understand why parent's protect their children so much- which in turn mean's you will never have an answer to your question.

Being a protective parent comes naturally. Being an over-protective parent usually stems from a bad childhood or mistrust in this very difficult world.

Its a combination of natural instinct and a loving bond between parent and child.

It is a natural instinct.

The child is part of my flesh and blood, hiding inside my tummy for 9-10 months. We do protect ourselves from accidents or cuts, and of course we protect our children like ourselves...

So you can give your god-given children a fighting chance on this earth.

If your not protective, your NOT a parent.

Because we love them unconditanally and dont want anything bad to ever happen to them. they are so helpless and get into everything, they have no concept of danger. Children are so innocent and dont know bad and that it exists.
good luck on your papper.
