Last night I played volleyball, and I landed on my wrist. I kept playing volleyball even though it hurt. I can still use it and I know it isn't broken or anything, but it still hurts today what did I do to it? It hurts mostly when it is bent backward.

Chances are you bruised the capacilli ligament and the carpocillic tendon. To care for this is simple. Warm your sore area for a while and then put baby oil on the area. Bend your wrist backwards gently and rub the area. You should feel little knots under the skin. Rub these "out" and then make sure you drink alot of water. (The toxins in the knots will break free, so water helps you dilute these and pass them in yur urine)

I did the same thing last year. Luckily it was just a sprain. Doc said that the (cant recall the exact name) wrist bandages (?) that are elastic will help because it slightly immobilizes it while still giving you enough range of motion to get dressed etc. Ice helps, icyhot and those kinds of things didn't really do much for me. And as always, keep tylenol or ibuprofen handy to help with the pain!
Hope you feel better!

Probably just sprained it. I would try wraping it, and maybe iceing it if becomes irritated again. Try to not play volleyball for a couple days until it feels better, or at least keep it wraped when playing. If you're playing for a team, ask your coach to wrap it, they should know how.

Sounds like you need a doc... a number of things could have happened. Sprain, pinched nerve, swollen muscle maybe even a hairline fracture.
