Adam was created from dust of the earth by God -- Adam was never a fetus. Neither was Eve -- God took a rib from Adam and created her.

From the moment of conception, everyone has a unique DNA. They also are defined as either male or female, regardless of the physical appearance.

So I am left wondering...what is your question? How is Adam and Eve's creation germain to the issue of fetus development? Perhaps someone else can answer your question.

The sperm that fertilizes the egg has the chromosome that determines the sex of the child at the time of fertilization. Just because the sex organs develop later in the pregnancy is no sign that all fetuses are female to begin with. Other more important things like the brain, heart, lungs, and such have to be developed early in the pregnancy. Just because the fetus doesn't have hair early in the pregnancy doesn't mean it will be bald any more than the lack of sex organs means it is female.

The Adam and Eve story makes sense when you consider them to be representations of the X & Y chromosomes and not actual people. Most if not all of the rest of the book of Genesis is clearly allegorical, so it makes sense to consider that Adam and Eve are too.

I don't know why this assertion annoys so many christians as it actually strengthens their position. And you'd think they'd welcome the bridging between science and religion too.

Nor does the article say that fetuses start off female. It fairly clearly implies that at this point the genitals are undeveloped. How can this be considered to be female ?

Null question.

What does that have to do with Man being created from dirt (and not a womb)? Obviously a fetus starts as female because that's the way God created the fetus to grow. Adam was not born of a woman.

The answer is simple and logical.

Adam was created directly by God so was never a fetus,

Adam was made directly a man. He never would of even had

a belly button. It was Eve's child Cain who was the first

human fetus.

When Adam and Eve were created they were not created as a fetus. You ask an interesting question that seems to follow some logic at first but when you think about it clearly it is flawed.

Fetuses don't all start off as female - gender is determined at the moment of conception, when the two single cells merge. Any claim to the contrary is simply bunk, no matter how scientific such claims appear to the lay person.

actually fetuses start out without noticable gender characteristics. the gender of the fetus is determined at conception, whether the sperm that fertilized contributed an X or a Y. but it is closer to looking female than male.

No male fetus has XX chromosomes. They may be similar in appearance at an early developmental stage but male fetuses are not female.

Now you're getting into questions best left unbothered.

Church people don't like those questions and I can't say I blame them.

And what about the one where rudimentary hind limbs appear briefly in the embryos of whales and dolphins. What a horrid question.

No, you're not helping matters any by bringing up stuff like that.

Why don't you get a degree in church science, and go on the mission to Princeton Universitry and preach to the academics, bring those bastards to Jesus why don't you.
