I'm designing a toy for kids that tells them about the United States. I'm looking for info on what each state is famous for (ex. California is know for movie making, oranges, grizzly bears, beaches, etc).

Idaho... well known for it's greatest farming crop.. the potato! We also have National parks, forests, great landscapes & scenery... skiing in our mountains such as Sun Valley where the movie stars play... and live....
I love Idaho!

Michigan: Apples, autos and that's about it. Home of Gerald Ford. We're the only state in the union where the people's map is a body part. Right HAND, people! (get your minds out of the gutter.) I live in the Thumb area.

i'm from manhattan. that's supposedly the main distinctive state contained in u.s., nicknamed ny, and is the biggest tourist attraction! i'm grateful to stay right here!
