I think you missed an important point it's not just the prayers, we also use such as Inshallah (God willing) and Allhumdulilah (Praise be to God). We step out of our house and we recite a dua, enter or leave the mosque recite, travel there is a dua for that any many more. I think Muslims do fulfil the reqiurements that Psalms prescribes.
EDIT:
For the guy below me how did all the Prophets pray? Like Muslims.
Genesis 17:3 "And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,"
Genesis 17:17 "Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?"
Exodus 34:8 "And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped."
Numbers 16:20-22 "And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?"
Joshua 5:14 "And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant?"
Ezekiel 9:8 "And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?"
2 Chronicles 20:18 "And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD."
Ezekiel 11:13 "And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?"
Matthew 17:6 "And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid."
Matthew 26:39 "And he (Jesus) went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."

The number of times a day you pray is none of my business - unless I'm the boss and you're taking time away from work and expecting to be paid for it. You can pray once before you come to work but you better be on time. You can pray on morning break, at lunch break and on afternoon break. Then you can pray a fifth time after you get home. You do that and as your employer I got no problem at all with you praying five times a day. Your breaks are 15 minutes long - that's it. No extra time for religious observance. Your lunch break is half an hour and the same deal applies - no extra time to pray. That work for you? If not, I can readily find a replacement for you!

Why should that bother me?
I pray eight times a day - along with most Monastics and religious of the Western Churches:
Matins
Lauds
Prime
Terce
Sext
None
Vespers
Compline
And daily Mass in addition.
That does not even include the added Lenten exercises of the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy that I have added since Ash Wednesday.
So - what's your point?

It bothers me only in that they say islam is a continuation of Christianity, which is a lie, and the way they pray is just more proof of that. God never said to stop, drop and recite 5 times a day. Jesus told us how to pray, not with repetition but from the heart, not for all to see (videos of Muslims praying are all over tv and internet and they did that themselves), and all day long, whenever we wanted and needed to. Muslims don't follow God's word, they follow Muhammad and allah.
May God Bless you.

Any religion that puts Our Lord is the position of created instead of Creator is a problem for us. If we didn't think religions were wrong in doing that why would we be Christian? As for praying we (Christians) are commanded to pray without ceasing. Making it a religious command is hard for people to are under grace to deal with that level of rigidity... Jim

No. Every religious order has certain aspects of belief and practice to which their adherants subscribe.
It was once said that there were many paths to God.
While my personal chosen preference is different from those who practice the Muslim lifestyle, they have every right to do as dictated to them by their own conscience when it comes to praying 5 times a day.
It shouldn't "bother" you that they believe as they do. While it would be nice if we all believed the same thing, which one of the "Christian" beliefs is the "right" one to impose upon everyone?
As Dr. George Washington Carver said "Take your share of the world but be willing for everyone else to have theirs."

It bothers me for reasons you would find insulting, but if you really want to know post details asking me and I will tell you.
Jim Jones preached a monotheistic religion too, the problem is he was confused about who God is and what he wants from us.
