Very normal. You have only been at it 3 weeks. Depending on how many sessions a week you work out will depend on the outcome. Muscle weighs more than fat and also burns fat by increasing the metabolism....thus also increasing your appetite.

What you really need to do is not be so concerned about the weight and focus on the inches. Are you trying to gain weight and gain muscle mass or are you trying to lose weight and tone and strengthen your muscle mass?

Make sure you eat accordingly for the results you are trying to achieve and keep a notebook of your work outs (measurements when first started, weight, etc.) and redo them once a month to see how you are progressing.

Put any questions you may have and any concerns you notice when working out, eating, etc in the notebook (easier to remember) so when you meet with your trainer, you can discuss these issues.

Also keep in mind that when weight lifting it is important to warm up and stretch the muscles prior to lifting to eliminate any tears and to also add at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise to strengthen your heart. Also give your muscles 24 hours to recuperate.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! Yes, it is a good thing. You developed muscle. Throw the scale in the garbage. Give it a few months, you will look great. More muscle burns more calories even while resting. Don't worry about your muscles getting too big. Women lack the amount of testosterone necessary to develop huge muscles. It took me two months before I saw any fruits from my effort.

Keep up the good work.
