I suffer from depression and anxiety.....I have this problem....I am sensitive and take everything personally....I live with another family to try to get a better life...But if "Mary" says--The other day you left without finishing the kitchen....Make sure the kitchen is always clean before you leave...She was just telling me this out of the kindness of her heart....But I took it like I am a failure....And I didn't do my job...I cried because I realized I made them clean it and I just left without thinking.....If two people are whispering about the blue sky..I think they are talking behind my back....HOW DO I GET OVER ALL THIS???!!!!!

For years I have felt the same way you are right now. One thing that always helped me was staying focused, which wasn't easy because I get distracted easily. Things are going to be difficult sometimes, and maybe more often than not, but take those days and times that you can, that are uplifting for you, and try to remember them when you are feeling like a failure, or like the world is against you. It is a constant state of mind for those of us who are depressed and have anxiety. Just know that it is ok, you are ok, and the world is NOT against you. Keep your chin up, ok? And just remember that there is always another day.

Country, sounds like you suffer from GAD..generalized anxiety depression. I would talk to Dr. Since this is a duel diagnosis, your Dr can advise you which course of action is best for you. Anxiety and depression sometimes go hand in hand and your Dr may want to treat the anxiety first to see if it helps your depression. I hope this has helped you. Good luck

I have anxiety and depression as well, and that sounds like my same problems.
I would suggest going to a psychiatrist and talking about getting medicine. I'm on daily medicine, but he also gave me an anxiety pill to take as needed that will work right away.
You would also probably benefit from seeing a psychologist. Even though it seems strange at first, it will help.
I've recommended a couple books that have helped me:

I have the same problem. For years I suffered with this and now I take a low dosage of Zoloft. I felt the difference right away....I don't worry about things as much and I am able to cope with life.

Good luck to you!

Have to talked to your physician about this? They can suggest a counselor to talk to and/or medications to help with both the anxiety and depression. Your not a failure. Good luck.

i think the medical card is a good way to start overhearign stuff, if you know she told you out of politeness take it and maybe next time do something that their task would be for them, and by the way everyone can forget every once in a while it is human nature and don't worry about not beeing perfact or wanting to be that way
i don't think life would be so nice without mistakes and just human things,....

I think the root to your cause of anxiety & depression is an underlying self esteem problem. It isn't that you arn't good enough or anybody else is superior to you, it is just that your perception of yourself is of that. Deal with your confidence & self esteem issues first & i think the anxiety & depression will just fade away.
