........... ok everyday I go to the library for about 10 mins before lunch and I go on yahoo answers to pass the time. Every day this ANNOYING kid comes over to the computer and READS behind my back what I am doing. Obnoxious right? What if I was posting a personal question and he felt the right to read it? (it has happened)Whats more is that he READS IT OUT LOUD. How can I get him to shut up and mind his own business????

Tell him to go away. Start by explaining politely that what he is doing is extremely rude and very annoying. He's probably just ignorant and doesn't know any better. If he keeps bothering you make a complaint to the librarian. If necessary make enough fuss about it to get him barred.

I'm a bit curious if you posted this question before politely stating your personal boundaries?

Figure out if the goal of respecting your space is legitimate. The only way it wouldn't be right is if you are doing something on the net that isn't appropriate...you'd be suprised as to how the Holy Spirit works. If you are on the up and up and he doesn't respect your request you may have to speak to the authority figure in the library.

If you haven't done so already, notify the library staff.
The staff should "run interference" and tell this kid to go someplace else. He is interfering with your right to privacy.

If you don't get anywhere with the staff (and that includes the Dept. Head), go to the Manager or Director of the Library.

Also, be sure to tell the kid to mind his own business and go someplace else or you will tell the staff.

ya know, this is a public site. many people here do the same thing. Ask him nicely to not read over your shoulder, but there is no privacy here.

You just need to tell him. what he's doing is annoying but he wont notice if you keep it to your self. Just tell him and be serious. Allow your facial expresion to show that you really hate what he's doing.

Where is this child's parent? Obviously the parent has not taught the child any manners and it is time that the parent do so.

I would write a really nasty description of him in really big capital letters so he doesn't miss a word!
