If you know anything about geology you know that the world has changed climate drastically several times, without man even being here. The earth will change again regardless of what man does or does not do. We may have a slight impact, but it is doubtful.

if you knew the facts you would see that CO2 levels are at startling levels...much much higher than they were when earth was going through its natural cycle of warming and cooling. It is a fact that CO2 absorbs energy and re-emits it back down to the earth's surface. Maybe the is also going through it's warming cycle, but man is making it worse than it should be which could cause unprecedented consequences...When in history have the polar ice caps melted before??? This is what is at risk.

ARE YOU ALL THAT IGNORANT OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AROUND YOU? DO YOU NOT WATCH DIFFERENT NEWS CHANNELS? READ PAPERS OR WEB NEWS? I think by law everyone should have to recycle ALL plastics, paper products, glass, metal and compost. People should be given incentive to be more environmentally friendly. Incandescent light bulbs should be banned and houses, streets and businesses should be lite withe fluorescent bulbs. Cars should be made to run on Bio-diesel. Governments and Big Business have to go green. We as the people of this planet should demand it. It's time we take a stand to preserve our world improve it and protect it for our children.

The "greenhouse effect" is mostly natural and caused mostly by water vapor. It's essential to our civilization.
"Global warming" is excessive greenhouse effect mostly caused by man's production of carbon dioxide. It's very dangerous to our civilization. Rich countries will spend a huge amount of money coping. In poor countries many people will die of starvation due to damage to agriculture. We need to reduce man's contribution to the greenhouse effect.

Skeptics cite individually the few scientists who disagree. But the above is the position of the vast majority of climatologists, because of the data in my second website citation. Proof:

It's only global dumbing if you choose to ignore all of the scientific evidance for it, and instead rely on speculation and other non-scientific information so you can ignore the truth.. like so many of you do.
