So sorry, I just couldn't resist, I just anwered a similar question only it went like this: How many Christians does it take to screw in a light bulb? If I offended anyone, sorry. By the way my answer to that question was: I'm a blond Christian so I would just complain about the dark.
Lighten up!
Peace, it's not a season it's a way of life.

Uhhhhh, a lightbulb can be seen and touched. It appears in front of the person. If I see a lightbulb, I can be pretty sure it exists (unless it's just a picture, then it's not a lightbulb, it's a picture). There's proof it exists. Proof is what's needed to know it exists. And lightbulbs have nothing to do with religious beliefs, anyway. Atheism questions God's existence, not a lightbulb's existence. Or are you saying that lightbulbs are God? Christians pray to lightbulbs? Interesting.

Atheists don't debate about the existence of the lightbulb, they ask to see the lightbulb. Theists will believe in the lightbulb without any evidence at all, or simply assume that the light the old one gave was given by god and that it's burning out was a sign of his displeasure.
Ergo, atheists understand lightbulbs and theists don't want to understand the lightbulb in case they discover it is man-made.

This reminds of that scene in 'Raising Arizona' when Glen is botching the telling of a Polack joke to H.I.:
Glen: How many Pollacks it take to screw up a lightbulb?
H.I.: I don't know, Glen. One?
Glen: Nope, it takes three.
[Glen laughs. H.I. doesn't]
Glen: Wait a minute, I told it wrong. Here, I'm startin' over: How come it takes three Pollacks to screw up a lightbulb?
H.I.: I don't know, Glen.
Glen: 'Cause they're so darn stupid!
(A punchline that only Glen seems to find funny.)

ha ha ha - good one.
but in addition to the debat over the existance of the bulb, they question whether the fixture was a facet of Darwinian development or the effect of a frenzied mind.
(in college we also added the line...."who knows how long it takes? all we want to know is how they got into the bulb in the first place?!)

No, not funny, I tried to see it as funny but definitely not funny. Kinda like
Q: How many Christians does it take to change a light bulb?
A: One, but they have to have a good witness.
Perhaps true, perhaps false, but not funny.

that would be a better joke for agnostics...
but since I can SEE the lightbulb which proves it's existence, there is nothing to debate.
I can't see god nor can i see proof he(she) exists so that is a much more sensical debate.

Good one.
If they would just screw it in they would understand that they can not see the existing light but it still exists only the objects that reflect the light is what they see but light it self is not visible.

Oh, comedian! I see what you did there! Because, like, there's NO evidence that the lightbulb exists, so... hold on... but ... er...
Actually I think you need to keep working on that one.
EDIT
Now Sho-Nuff - HE knows how to get a laugh!
