If she's 18 then she's old enough to make her own decisions, but maybe tell her to be a little more discreet when discussing things like that on the phone. I'm sure your parents would have flipped if they heard her talking like that!

not listen into her conversations, she is an adult. She most probably had an argument with a friend, she' s old enough to handle it on her own. If she wantsshe can come to discuss it with you.

you should ask her what she was talking about and that it makes you uncomfortable when she talkes that way. so you should either avoid listening to her conversations or ask her politely to be a bit more careful about what and where she says things on the phone.
