Become A driver, and better still join the R.E.M.E. and not only learn to drive every type of vehicles from Landrovers to tank recovery, but you will also learn everything about the engines. How to repair them and the vehicle electrics. You can come out with a very good trade. Better han Dog handling which is Military Police.

I had a neighbor that was a dog trainer. He absolutely loved it. If I remember correctly he told me it took a while to be able to do that. Also when it was time for him to get out he was going to train drug dogs. As far as the being a driver...well that's probably an easier route but from talking to people who've done that they have seen less than happy with that choice.

I have a friend who is a dog handler in the RAF- he's been at it for a little over 4 years now, and reckons he's having the time of his life; I know a few old drivers from thier national service days who suffered cramps and back backs as well as being stuffed in a hot, shaky cab all day although I realise a lot has moved on since then!

Try driver, there are not a lot of army dog trainers. I believe that would fall under 88M . Good job and they are always needed.

The veterinary corp and military police handle dogs. Drivers are ten a penny. Go for a proper trade and get a decent apprenticeship behind you for when you leave. The world is crying out for plumbers, brickies, sparkies etc and the Engineers are a good bunch.

Dog trainer is best. You get more respect, and a better possible future. Anyone can drive but dogs are a specialty.
