I sometimes write short poems to girls i like.
but now it seems to even me old fashioned .
is it still ok ?
Girls are not mysterious like before but I feel like writing short poems .

Girls like poems sure. They like things purchased from Tiffany's better however! HA

It all depends on the girl. My ex wasn't the "old fashioned" type and she didn't really see too much in things like that. My fiancee now, however; LOVES when i write her poems, short stories, songs, art, etc....
When you find the right girl she will be flattered by your creativity when you have her in your thoughts while creating things. If you're with the right girl she will encourage your creativity, and what better way to make your creativity thrive than to create things for her?
There is little in this world that makes my fiancee feel more special than when i treat her to a romantic dinner, some flowers and a well-written poem that i've written for her.
On the flip side, even if the girl is not too crazy about the poems... write them for her & keep them in a journal or a book of some kind. On a special occaison (anniversary, valentines...etc) give the book to her to show her how you feel. It may be old fashioned, but it's a sentiment from the heart & THAT is always appreciated when coming from a loved one.

It's not only OK, it's a great way to show the girl you love how much you care for her. If you have the gift of writing go for it! Me and my boyfriend sometimes write short poems for each other and it is really romantic. Sometimes I secretly put the sheet with the poem in his pocket before he goes to work and he calls me surprised when he finds it or when I fall asleep, he puts the poem next to my head, so I find it in the morning, or we send to each-other rhymed smses that we made up by ourselves...I really think it's one of the most romantic ways to show your feelings to your loved one, so just keep doing it! I don't believe it will ever get old-fashioned.

I think it's sweet if a guy writes me a poem. If that's the way you express yourself then don't worry about whether it is old fashioned or not.

i would like a guy to write me a poem...i think its cute :) its from your heart, and if a girl loved you than she would love the poem even if it sucked. I write short little poems too...i've written 2 for boyfriends, and they both liked them :)

Well some girls dont really dig the whole poem thing buy her some flowers or tell them how you feel, i dont really like poetry to be honest

Ah, that shi-t might work in France, Italy or some gay place like that, but here in America most women like a guy who is cocky and has a little edge....poetry is a definate "no-no" for impressing the ladies...just be an azz, and they will all come running.
