Have you ever prayed for someone to not get pregnant?

I'm not sure what to say. My mother prayed that she never did get pregnant, but that was after I was born so it was sort of a pipe dream of hers.

More recently, my husband was fixed. We got the all clear, but 6 weeks later they phoned and said, "Whoopsy, we made a mistake. The surgery was not totally successful." And I was 8 days late.

I prayed. Oh, I prayed.

Turns out everything was okay. I was not, erm, in a family way.

I have a friend who, many years ago, was violently raped. These were the days before emergency contraception was available in Canada. She prayed she wasn't pregnant as well. But she was. She was 16. She terminated, but then wound up with an intrauterine infection so severe that it was questioned whether or not she'd ever be able to bear children again. She and her husband tried for 5 years to no avail before he knocked up his work partner. It seems my friend's prayers were not only unanswered, but *God* chose to slap her upside the head and kick in the teeth as well.

Prayer, the last resort of a scoundrel. Ha ha.

yes, a person who I used to be friends with married a very horrible man..... I think if they had a baby it would be like a toy for them... a status symbol of sorts. So far, it's worked but I have a feeling lots of other people are praying tooo.....
You shouldn't have kids if your are running from the law and owe the mob money......

Yeah! Me. and it didnt work. She is 19 yrs old now.
I was right, I didnt want another child, I didnt need another child and I knew her dad would not support her and he didnt. I did it all alone.
