Almost 4 years ago I met this one guy and long story short he'd send mixed signals and flirt and hit on me and deny it. Sure enough I fell for him. I broke our friendship(he's overseas breaking the country's law), with him and I never heard of him since. I became interested in other guys and had infatuations but occasionally out of the blue I'd have stray thoughts that I'm in love with this one guy from 4 years ago. I don't have any feelings for him so why is my mind saying this unintentionally? I'd usually blurt out of the blue "I'm in love with him"(When I'm alone of course).
Suggestions? Why is my mind and heart always saying I still love him when I don't and he's not even the one I'm gonna marry?

You use this man as a defense mechanism when you feel you are getting to close to another man. This new man is not really what you want and instead of saying "I think" this is a no go you drag this idea of yours about this love to keep yourself from committing and making another mistake. You obviously did not have the closure you needed and cared for him more than you care to admit.
There is not a man or woman alive that does not have thoughts of old friends and lovers...that's how the human mind works. You need to move on, it simply was not meant to be.

A guy like this isnt good for you. Your interest was greater and one sided. You keep telling yourself that because you dont want the memory of him to go away. Be patient it will fade and eventually will meet your true love. He was just a glimpse into what you will feel with someone that really deserves you. Good luck to you.

Ur confused. Try it out with the other guys and ur going to see who u love more. Trust me, I fell in love with a guy to and he just ignored me after Valentine’s Day after he kept telling me, I Love You. What I’ve been doing is thinking: He just doesn’t accept me for who I am. He doesn’t love me for sure. Besides I have lots of other chances I shall fall in love with the right guy. You need time to erase him from ur head. In due time, ur going to look back and say, “Why did I fall in ‘luv’ with him again?”

you are doing a good job trying to convince yourself that you are not in love with him, but the truth is you have not yet gotten over him. what you really want is to put some closure to this relationship or else it might affect you for the rest of your love life. be sure to speak to your marriage counsellor before you say 'i do'.
