Do people say I am gay? No...why should they?
A lot of times these days 'gay' doesn't refer to homosexual but just something someone finds foolish or silly...

Could be for lots of reasons.
You're 46 and you've never been seen with a girl... you're not married.. you still room with your best guy friend...
you constantly wear tight clothing that's flamboyant -- you're beyond being 'metro'.... you talk * gay *
your favourite colour is pink.. you own a dildo...
Then sometimes it can be just that people are MEAN and like to call you names.

umm...to put it that way...i would tell them this, "Just because I like to mess around with chicks doesn't mean i am gay. I am bisexual, not gay. There is a humongous difference, hello." told quite a few people that.

well, being the parent of a teenager....gay doesn't exactly mean what it used to....could just mean that they think your not acting cool, or it just isn't their style of clothes, whatever..my girl calls everything gay...i offered her some dinner(steak) and she said that was gay...so go figure....unless you have issues about your sexuality, i wouldn't let it phase me a bit...just tell them they are "gay- er"...loll
