hi, rebecca, if you're a kid than your question sounds very mature.
well, if adults ever wondered why are they shouting at their children, they wouldn't do it any more. because children are so nice beings that even when they were wrong they didn't mean do do it.
sometimes adults want to educate their kids, but this is a long term process and generally requires a lot of patience and not irritation.
tell me, is it that you rather understand things when they are explained it calmly to you? i think so.
but sometimes they are mad with you, but after that they feel sorry for disturbing you. you are the one who have to understand them, because they confront with many issues in life and need a lot of understanding.
i wish you best of luck and hope one day you won't feel hurt about your parents attitude.

love, daria

i think, its because it is frustrating, being a parent. when you are expecting your baby you have a picture in your head that it will be so wonderful. but then, real life happens and sometimes parents cant cope with it.
it could be that the child is misbehaving in some way, or it may be simply that a lot of other pressures are on the parent at the time. but on the whole, aside from really horrible people, most people regret shouting at their kids and wish that they had more patience with them.

Its all about discipline, most of the time if a child does something wrong then the parents get annoyed because not only does it hurt them to know their child is acting in this way, no matter how trivial the incident, but it is also a way of letting the child know that they are wrong to behave in such a manner and that it is seen as unacceptable. Discipline never dies any child any harm, if it is for the right reason. xx

Its all about trying to get the children to understand their point of view. Obviously children and adults have a different outlook on life, and adults do tend to think they know best and so try to get children to understand this and their theory. It is often stubbornness and pride which results in them shouting as they are annoyed that the children don't understand them and this frustrates them. They don't always mean to get angry and seem horrible, its just their frustration at not being understood.

Sometimes kids do not hear so well or they hear but do not pay attention. They will tune the parent out so the parent turns up the volume to get their attention!
