Why is it better to dring room temperature water than cold water?

I heard that u should drink water that is the same temp. as the atmosphere surrounding u coz when u drink cold water its consider as if u r sending a msg to ur brain that the outer atmosphere is cold so u r gonna feel hot

Never knew there was a difference in what temperature water you drank.

People drink ice water all the time with no ill effects.

It's not necessarily better.

Water that's too cold can numb the mouth, which can detract from the food. But other than issues like that, you should drink water at a temp you like.

I think that in order to replenish your thirst it will benefit you more if you drink room temp water simply because the cold water will give you a brain freeze....

I think the room temp water is absorbed easier...but I still drink ice water.....
