Obesity refers to an increase in total body fat. The easiest and most widely accepted method of determining whether you are obese is by measuring your Body Mass Index, or BMI. To calculate your BMI, follow these steps:

1. Multiply your weight in pounds by 705; divide by your height in inches; divide this number by your height in inches a second time.

2. You may also use an online BMI calculator at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Go to http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/.

A normal BMI = 18.5-24.9; overweight = 25.0-29.9; obese = 30 or greater; and morbidly obese = 40 or greater.

between 120-145 for 5'5 is considered to be healthy. 150-160 is probably just a little chubby, 165 or more is considered to be fat and more then 180 would be obese.

You can check it out with a BMI calculator, but they're not always that accurate depending on how active you are

I think 135 is a healthy weight without being over wieght, anything more than that could be considered chubby. Obese would probably be around 150+

But before taking any advice from yahoo members, see a doctor and they can make an educated determination.

dont go over 145lbs that will be over weight and a BMI in the mid 20s.

You dont wantto go below 120 either so a rang from 121-144 is healthy.
