I have a mono sub (400rms) and i have a mono amp (345rms) is this not enough power to handle the subs?
I am trying to get my system installed also (i have a cap, 2 amps 4 channel and 2 channel) that needs to be installed. I have a guy that would do everything even the rack for 175 i think this is too much money.
**4 channel needs only the speak wires ran.
**Ground wire need to be ran
**2 channel just the RCA's need to be ran.
**and the rack

maybe i am being cheap about it but i feel as though i am giving up too much money for the job. Let me know what you think of this situation and if you have any advice i would greatly appreciate it

Also if you know anyone with a Kenwood (digital eq) faceplate, kenwood only have one digital equalizer for the car (i checked ebay already...don't really care for it) let me know also

345 WRMS is fine to power the 400 WRMS sub. Just be sure to set the gain correctly...

Not trying to burst your bubble....

If total power is more than 900 watts RMS, you'll need to upgrade the alternator plus the "Big 3" - that is replacing the wires between the alternator and battery and the ground strap to at least 1/0 gauge wire. You'll also have to replace the battery with a heavy duty deep cycle.

The following guide will help you find out what size alternator you need, what size power wire you need and how to correctly set the gain on the amp to prevent damage to the subs:

You will need Microsoft Excel, a multi-meter (AC volt meter) and a way to burn an audio CD from an MP3.

The price sounds about right for installation but you could always check around your area and see if you can get a better deal. Try Best Buy too.

Check the Kenwood website or with an authorized dealer for the Kenwood product line. eBay won't have everything and there's no customer service number to call for more info.
