Some people believe it's because their veins get larger carrying blood to the muscles. That really isn't the reason. The real reason their veins look so pronounced is because of the lack of body fat. Large muscles can also push the veins toward the skin more.

I think it's because the muscles have expanded too much already so the veins are left with no space to pass through so they stay right under the skin!!I'm just kiddin' you can go to a gym nearby and ask the instructor that question i'm sure he has the answer to that or he's not a trained trainer!!

I have arm and leg veins like garden hoses, and am definitely not a body builder. It could just be because of low body fat (but i don't fit that either...)

low bodyfat percentage - usually around 5%, which is really unhealthy if maintained over a long period of time. Adult males should have 12 to 16% bodyfat and females should range from 16 to 20%.

They're body fat percentage is extremely low. For contest prep, they do almost anything they can to get the water out of their system
