What are we going to do about design data for complex things that are going to last a long time and will be expensive enough that they need to be repaired. CAD/CAM systems do not seem to last longer than about a decade. There was a car recently that had achieved a million miles. Commercial airplanes last at least a couple decades. There is no pilot today flying a B52 that was born when the plane was built. When they go out of service in the 2030's there will be pilots who's grandparents were not born when their B52 was built.
