The gas is normal and it will go away in time.
It comes from eating fruits and vegetables, which you aren't used to. The fiber is causing the gas.
Before I started cooking, when I would go visit my parents I ate my Mom's vegetables by the ton. I wondered why I had so much gas and she said it was from the veggies, and apparently I wasn't eating right on my own and blah blah blah.
As for exercise, start slow and do something fun. When was the last time you walked around your neighborhood? Join a community sports team (but don't go to the bar after practice).

Produce tends to cause gas, however there are over-the-counter meds (beano, gas-x, etc) that can help with that issue.
As for exercise, pick something you'll enjoy. It can be tough to get motivated but when we want something badly enough (in this case, to lose weight) then most of the time we can find ways to make that happen and do what needs to be done. Which is more important to you, the weightloss or being sedentary?
Eat a well balanced diet, not just fruits and veggies. You need protein and complex carbs in there as well...also take a good multivitamin to help supplement whatever you aren't getting through the foods you eat, and drink plenty of water.
Good luck!

What is happening is that your body is getting cleased from all the bad stuff you used to eat. Try some gas relief pills sold over the counter.
We only have three weeks in March, so before April doesn't seem like a reasonable deadline. If you're not excercising, you might as well give it up, since no matter all the good stuff you eat, when you stop eating healthy, you'll gain it right back.
I do suggest lots of water, more than you can handle, so that can help with the weight loss as well.

First off to answer your question, eat more yogurt. It has bacteria in it that aids digestion. You can also get digestive enzymes in pill form, just go ask at a health food store. They'll break down food faster so you won't get as much gas.
That said, don't be lazy, get off your *** and do what you enjoy for exercise. Exercise will help you burn fat all day better than you do now. Lazyness never made anyone skinny.

fruits and vegetables have fiber in them. The fiber is non-digestable and the bacteria in your stomach that's breaking down the fruits and veggies are working harder to try to break down the fiber (but cant). The excess energy is released in gas form (giving you more gas output (in a lighter way of saying it)).
