Whoever said that was an ox moron! The Bible is a book written by a bunch of old men in caves many decades after the events in question happened. It was then rewritten by the Roman Emperors for their own political ends. It was then rewritten by medieval kings, for their political purposes. It was then reinterpreted and in many cases rewritten by contemporary religious leaders, for their own ends.
As for science - although individual scientists can be and often are wrong, scientific principles allow us to understand the world as it is.
Anybody who believes a reedited book over scientific principles is very foolish!!!

One of those Vegans or some lactose intolerant A$s wipe.
Wait, the guy below me got it right:
"The Bible is a book written by a bunch of old men,"
Like Jeremiah, who was 13 years old at the beginning of his book.
" in caves"
Because they were Neanderthals. The earliest writer claims to be living in the bronze age, they demonstrate tool use, talk about building complex buildings, and only mention people in caves when they are hiding in 1st Samuel and 2nd Kings, but no, they are liars and cave dwellers.
"many decades after the events in question happened."
Absolutely. Literary academics can't agree on which of Shakespeare's sonnets was written by him, and when; and historians have yet to work out the history of ancient Egypt without a 500 year margin of error for early and middle period, but we say this with absolute confidence.
"It was then rewritten by the Roman Emperors for their own political ends."
Somehow they got both Christians and Jews to go along with this. Even the ones living in the Persian Empire. (No academics make this claim.)
" It was then rewritten by medieval kings, for their political purposes."
And all of them got together and made it say the same thing. Again, even in the Bibles being held by people under Muslim rule, or Hindu rule. Efficient. (BTW, no academics make this particular claim.)
"It was then reinterpreted"
True. Large books tend to be read differently by different people.
" and in many cases rewritten by contemporary religious leaders, for their own ends."
Yup. Jerry Fallwell managed to get together all the Mesoretic texts, and the Textus Recepticus and rewrote them all to include his name as the one who died on the cross. It was terrible.
It's not that translation committees, with dozens of people on them, may have translated the text with bias. Nope. They went and rewrote the work. For their own ends. But not them. Contemporary religious leaders.
Jeez people. Scepticism is not the same as inteligence. If you make up your own fairy tales to back up your scepticism, your not a sceptic, you're a retard who makes up fairy tales.
And my favorite, "As for science - although individual scientists can be and often are wrong, scientific principles allow us to understand the world as it is.
Anybody who believes a reedited book over scientific principles is very foolish!!!"
Riggggght. First learn some science, then use it as the guide to your life even though it is not intended to be so used, and nobody with a brain in their head claims it is or ever will be 100% accurate. It's not like, you know, we really are in the dark about planetary formation but say the present theory is 100% accurate in public, or we are really quite uncertain about the wrokings of stars in really really embarrassing ways but give our tenuous ideas as pure fact, or that current ideas of the lifecycle of our sun and the current timeline for formation of life on earth are irreconcilable at the moment.
Nope. We are not mere mortals struggling to understand things through the scientific method because it's the most logical tool we have, even though its usefullness can be seriously blunted by various mists put in front of us by the passage of eons and great distances, as well as physics not only on the edge of our understanding, but on the edge on what we are capable of understanding or describing. Nope. It is 100% fact. Everything. Even the 90% of it that will be refined tomorrow.
