Because they are so short already. I like to kneel in front of my pastor, but is that really appropriate for kids?

In my church, it is customary for even small children to kneel. However, if a parent doesn't want their child to kneel for some reason, then they certainly wouldn't have to. It's merely a religious devotional gesture, and is not carved in stone. As a child, I never minded kneeling, and it made me feel like more of an active participant in the service.

It depends on if the child feels he/she should. I think it is a good thing. Children automatically get on their knees before God many times. If you like to kneel before God, so the child also would like to kneel befoe God.

Children who love God will also stand, raise their hands, clap, sing, dance, etc... in praise service

Kneeling...like beside a bed is good to help them focus....they have a short attention span anywhere and need assistance where ever they can get it. At the dinner table we have my niece (3) and nephew (1) close their eyes and fold their hands.

Kneeling is not mandatory to prayer or anything else. All knees will bow at the return of the true Christ, but of course just the magnificance of Him will cause all of us to drop to our knees, or even faces as dead.

You are suppose to be humble and respectful. Do you have to kneel for that, personally I don't think so.

At the name of Jesus EVERY knee shall bend. Children understand and do not mind kneeling at all. They are without our adult huge egos that says we are equal to God.

It doesn't matter to God how short children are .
God made them small .He only wants our prayers
to come from the heart.Kneeling to pray is appropriate for all ages. And if you get old and can no longer kneel.Remember God knows those joints can't bend.He is a god of mercy.

I don't think it is important to use your knees at all. I kneel with my heart.
