My boyfriend and I broke up because of my parents not liking him and our parents not liking each other. We still want to be together but he doesn't want to go against our parents we are both 24 years old. We really did have a great relationship and really went through a lot to be togeher. My parents are basically trying to turn me against him and so far it hasn't worked. We are pretty much sneaking around to see each other and this just isn't working for me. I would rather just try to make it work again and hopefully everyone will come to accept it but should we just get closure and go our separate ways or should we try to work it out and be together?

If you guys are really happy together, your parents should accept that. I'd say you should try to get back together again. That's not fair, you're basically an adult, and you should date whoever you want.

It's very good to respect your parents but you're old enough to know what you want. If u have a great relationship I don't think u should let your parents get in the way. My parents don't like my bf but we've been together for over a year. It's actually pretty common for parents not to approve of ur partner. If the only problem is ur parents I think u should stay together.

Now is the time to break from your parents. You are 24 years old and you can see who you like. If you live with parents, agree with above suggestion, think about moving out and getting your independence and being responsible for yourself. Parents will run you as long as you live under their roof. If you two love each other, you should be together.

i would say, if you guys really like each other, ya'll should try to be together. i mean, so both sets of parents won't be happy~ but you're an adult. do you still live at home? because if you do, maybe consider getting a roommate and move out, show your parents that you're an adult now and willing to accept the consequences of your actions. *a good female friend that your parents respect or such*
think of it this way, 20 years from now, when you look back, will you be thankful you followed the "orders" of your parents? or will you be , "man, why did i let them talk me out of something so wonderful?"

If you two love each other and you both know it, then it's time to move out and be on your own. Your parents can still drive you nuts as long as you live with them.
If you do Not live with them, get it through your heads that it does not matter what they think. You two should be together and stay away from your family so much. You would be smart to move to the other side of the world!!

Girl follow your heart and get back together becasuse your 24 years old your parents should not run your life. If you really like him and likes you then face the obstacles that stand ahead of you. If the relationship works or not you can only learn from your mistake so don't let others run your life so you have that control.

Because you are 24 yrs old...and i think that's a mature age to be able to decide who you want to be with...then i believe you SHOULD stand up for yourself...under the consideration that both of you want the same thing.
Talk to your parents and have a casual dinner or something, so both his and your parents would understand each other and hopefully make peace.
(holiday events: xmas dinner would be the perfect time)
