Are there a member or members of President George W. Bush's family on active duty in the US military and stationed in Iraq or Afghanistan?

I'm sure this question may seem partisan, but I'm looking for factual information, preferably with a source to back it up.

Thanks.

I often wonder about people in government that have sons or daughters serving. President Bush (41 and 43) both served. 41 kept us safe from teh Japanese Imperialists and 43 protected Texas from Vietnamese Aggression.

43 has 2 twin daughters that are old enough to serve and could possibly be officers, as they are college graduates. Maybe they should be encouraged to serve.

Do you think the topic ever comes up?

Used to be serving in the military was sort of a right of passage into government service. Look at the Kennedy's - Joe Kennedy, KIA in Europe WW2, JFK served in the Navy in the Pacific (remember PT 109??) Jimmy Carter served in the Navy, Ronald Reagan was in the Army in WW2, Gerald Ford was in the military during WWII and served a gunnery on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific, Lyndon Johnson was in the military during WWII. He was awarded the Silver Star by General MacArthur after Johnson's plane was attacked by Japanese airplanes.

That all being said, it would be interesting to know what the closest relative is??

Like Michael said - I'm sure the terrorist would love to know if there was. Chances are that the is someone related to the Bush family in the military, If you polled everyone in the USA I would bet that they know at least one person that has been or is going to Iraq or are in the military.

commencing 2 wars of aggression earns you a conflict crimes trial. BTW---Bush is to blame for commencing the conflict in Afghanistan using fact he willfully compromised national protection previous to 9/11/2001.

This sounds like the type of intel a terrorist would love to get his hands on....

It's not public knowledge for that reason.
