How can you seperate fat and muscle and weigh them seperately?--like how can you tell what is muscle and fat on you?

So basically you want to find out how much lean body mass you have.

You can buy a specialized weight scale that tells you what you're body fat percentage is...but it is not very accurate.

The best thing to do is go to someone who knows how to measure body fat with a caliper...most doctors and fitness trainers know how to perform this. Then you will be able to tell how much excess fat you have.

And if those 2 are out of reach...you can always guess by using this formula.

(Example: 220 lbs. Total Body Weight minus 20% body fat =176 lbs. of Lean Body Mass)

There are calculators all over the internet that will show you your percentage of body fat. Once you get a percentage, you can convert it to pounds and subtract it from your total weight.
