First of all, it is kind of obvious, but I am going to say: studying. Studying grammar is the only way you are going to learn to speak properly and to write correctly as well. Second of all, by imitating. Do not hear anything on your lenguage. Listen to the radio in English, watch TV and movies in English and try to imitate the people. the best way that helped me a lot was to work in an environment where english is a must. that way you do not have any choice of not speaking it. and you will learn so much in work talking to the people that know English very well. I encourage people to correct me and help me with my pronunciation and grammar.
I wish you the best!!! remember: imitation is the key!

Practice, Practice, Practice. Get together with a native English speaking friend and talk together. Have them ask you questions and help correct your pronounciation as you answer. Also, listen to the radio and watch T.V. The best way to pick up a language is to listen and emmerse yourself in it. Try to pinpoint what the differences and similarities are between your language and English. For example, English and Spanish have similar words, but a different grammer structure (the adjective comes after the noun, etc.)

Buy a DVD of your favorite movie,
repeat after each actor again and again, many times.
Your listening, accent, and conversation skill will improve tremendously.
I recommend one of the "Friends" series.
