She thinks She Needs Me
I can't remember who sings it my husband picked it. Its a man singing and it starts like his wife thinks she needs him but really he thinks its all about her(Yeah he was trying to make me cry) That was actually the first time we ever danced together too.

I want to have "First Day Of My Life" by Bright Eyes when (if) my BF and I get married. This song has special meaning to us but it is also really pretty as well.

This is the first day of my life
Swear I was born right in the doorway
I went out in the rain, suddenly everything changed
They're spreading blankets on the beach
Yours is the first face that I saw
I think I was blind before I met you
Don't know where I am, don't know where I've been
But I know where I want to go

So I thought I'd let you know
That these things take forever, I especially am slow
But I realized how I need you
And I wondered if I could come home

I remember the time you drove all night
Just to meet me in the morning
And I thought it was strange, you said everything changed
You felt as if you'd just woke up

And you said, "This is the first day of my life
I'm glad I didn't die before I met you
Now I don't care, I could go anywhere with you
And I'd probably be happy"

So if you want to be with me
With these things there's no telling
We'll just have to wait and see
But I'd rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery

Besides, maybe this time it's different
I mean I really think you like me

Was a beautiful Ukrainian folk ballad, love song. Sorry, don't know how to write the name in Cyrillic here.
For the reception, make sure you have a good mix of old and new, to get everyone up dancing - polkas, bunny hop, waltzes, oldies rock, right up to modern stuff.

This is the song I danced to

I FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE (Barbra Streisand & Bryan Adams)

I finally found someone, that knocks me off my feet
I finally found the one, that makes me feel complete
We started over coffee, we started out as friends
It's funny how from simple things, the best things begin

This time it's different, dah dah dah dah
It's all because of you, dah dah dah dah
It's better than it's ever been
'Cause we can talk it through
Oohh, my favorite line was "Can I call you sometime?"
It's all you had to say to take my breath away

(Chorus)
This is it, oh, I finally found someone
Someone to share my life
I finally found the one, to be with every night
'Cause whatever I do, it's just got to be you
My life has just begun
I finally found someone, ooh, someone
I finally found someone, oooh

Did I keep you waiting, I didn't mind
I apologize, baby, that's fine
I would wait forever just to know you were mine
And I love your hair, sure it looks fine
I love what you wear, isn't it the time?
You're exceptional, I can't wait for the rest of my life

(Repeat Chorus)

Whatever I do, it's just got to be you
My life has just begun
I finally found someone

I'll Back You Up by Dave Matthews
Lover Lay Down by Dave Matthews
By Your Side by Sade

Those are all great ones!

We danced to "The Dance" by Garth Brooks; I also walked down the aisle to "From This Moment" By Shania Twain which would've been a good first one too.

It was the U2 cover of Can't Help Falling in Love. It isn't as slow as other songs but still really fun.

"Beautiful in my Eyes" by Joshua Kadison will be our first dance. I picked this song the first time I had ever heard it (when I was about 12) and luckily he likes it, too.
