Seems like all the submissions I know from the Guard everyone else knows. How do you catch people in your guard work? Any unusual submissions? How can I avoid telegraphing my submissions from the guard?

Well, there are the obious:kimura, gillotine, lapell choke.
One that is not used that often is the uma plata, or gogo plata
Although not a submission, but an "unusual" sweep is the good ol' foot in the back of the belt.....put your foot in, and "heave-ho" that usually works....it gets you to the top and is quite unexpected!

Avoiding telegraphing is really hard. If someone knows the ground game, they know what your doing so what you really have to do is get mobile and transition quickly, going for submissions only is kinda stupid you should definitely be thinking sweeps aswell.

lift one leg over the persons shoulder and place ur lower shin/ankle into there throat lift ur other leg high to the back of there neck and push down, also pull the head down with ur hands
ok! remember push ur leg into there throat and pull down on the head.. i hope this helps im not to good at explaining

while in gaurd pull your opponit on you and have your right arm over his left shoulder and around his head and have your left hand over his right shoulder and wraped around his arm pull your legs up to fake a triangle take your right arm and strike his left ear he will pull up a little take your left leg and put it over his head and push down he will go to his back and you hold his right arm with your left leg over his head pushing down and your right leg on his torso extend his right arm till he cry's like a little girl or just break it
