The earth's crust makes up less than 1% of the earth and all the oceans on the planet are in the earth's crust. So water makes up less than 1% of the earth. I remember hearing somewhere that the human body is something like 75% to 90% water but will have to research this more and get back to it.

Edit: Okay, I see the other gentleman has it at 70% for the human body which does sound accurate.

it is strange the dimensionalkly speaking the ratio stays the same
we are a small world ,filled with microbiotic life that is not human and their world is as wet
as our world is to us.
